Thesis: The Great Migration gave the north a lot of positive feed back thus leaving the South vulnerable.
The " Great Migration" was the movement of six million African American from the South to the Northeast Midwest and West. People from the Great Migration came from a lot of rural areas in the South to find work. Many Southern states lost at least half of their population. According to U.S. census Georgia suffered a net loss in its black population dwindling its population to a mere few hundred. Along with other Southern states such as ( Texas /Alabama /Louisiana /Mississippi) which lost most of their population. Many urban skills were lost as well due to the population deplete which was necessary for the south to urbanize.
During the time of the Great Migration many articles and forms of advertisement were published to draw in African Americans to their region. This method was also used for drafting in soldiers for the union army meaning the North had a higher percentage of soldiers. Leaving the South with very little options and almost no resources at all.

As seen in the chart below the increase in African American population didn't have a complete a positive outcome. The negative impulse increased the amount of segregation and the leading to the " Ku Klux Clan" Even though this becomes a problem in the future of events the grey migration had a lot of promising features. Such as bring the races closer together and a more positive future.
